Why aren’t there any "travel packages" on your site?
All of our trips are custom made. We don’t create them until we find out what YOU want in a trip. There’s a sample itinerary we can send you so you can get a feel for how our trips are laid out, but everyone’s idea of a great travel experience is different. We don’t craft trips that are good for everybody. We make trips that are good for you!
How much do your trips cost?
Since each trip is custom made, there’s no “one price fits all” way to do this. But one thing we’ve learned over the years is how to make our trips really affordable. That said, depending on what you want it to be (short or long, rustic or luxurious, small or large, self-catered or all-inclusive), a budget of only $200-$300 per person per day can cover all of your accommodations, land and sea transportation and day trips. Or, if you really want to go all-in, we can still plan a once-in-a-lifetime trip with a budget for under $500 per person per day.
How is this different from a traditional travel agency?
We decided early on that the “Travel Agency Model” was wrong for us. In that world, there’s generally a charge for the service, then a bunch of “up-sell” opportunities that generate extra commission for the agent. That incentive encourages someone to sell you the trip that they want you to have, and not the one you want to create for yourself. We have a flat rate worked out by our Irish tour professionals, which means every financial incentive or commission that we’re offered gets credited against your bottom line, not added to ours.
How many people can we bring?
Our focus is on one friend/family group at a time. Generally, group travel is more fun with more people (and it can save some money overall), but that’s totally up to you. We can assist with planning for groups as small as 2 people, and if your group is large, all the better. 25-50 has become a bit of a specialty over here. We love that challenge.
Do you personally accompany our group?
We would be delighted! Obviously, some groups, especially the smaller ones, won’t need in-person help. But for slightly larger groups, we can best serve you if we’re there to handle the hiccups. You might have the occasional transportation need, or if something needs attention in your accommodations, we’re there to sort it out. We’ll meet you in Ireland, get you to your new home, coordinate day trips and transport, make restaurant reservations, and do whatever we can to make your time free of stress. You’ll still have all of the the privacy and flexibility you’ll need to focus on your friends and family.
